Stroll through one of the Bronx's most colorful neighborhoods and discover the history behind its rich ethnic background while sampling some of the community's culinary specialties, from fresh Belmont bread and pizza to cannoli! Stops along the way include Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church; Ciccarone Park; the corner where Dion and the Belmonts sang their way to fame; the Enrico Fermi Cultural Center; the Arthur Avenue Retail Market; and places associated with President Chester Arthur, Stephen Delancey, and Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia. Cost for food tasting portion is additional and out of pocket on the day of the tour. Stops will be made at food establishments, but you only pay for the food you wish to buy, if anything. Some food stops are CASH ONLY establishments, so please bring cash. Also note that each establishment may come into contact with peanut and nut oils, so please keep in mind when making your food orders. Come prepared with an appetite for history and good Italian food.
