Young Alumni Event: Mentorship Program
The Cornell Club Mentorship Program is a volunteer program where young professional Members are given the opportunity to meet with experienced fellow Members in his or her field of interest. The program allows the mentees to develop their careers and leadership skills.
The Cornell Club’s January Mentorship Program has a focus on the consumer products industry.
Mark Kleinman is the chief executive officer of Walkers Shortbread, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Scotland-based Walkers Shortbread Ltd. Mr. Kleinman has also held senior posts at ConAgra Foods, Groupe Danone and Novartis. Mr. Kleinman worked at Groupe Danone for 10 years and led the product development of Dannon Light Yogurt in the United States. He also served in general management, sales and marketing leadership roles in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. While at ConAgra Foods, Mr. Kleinman was executive vice-president/general manager of the of the $180 million Hebrew National business unit, where he and his team grew brand sales and household penetration and accelerated profit growth. Kleinman also served at Novartis as VP/Marketing Head for Latin America, and held marketing and finance posts at Kraft General Foods early in his career.
