Gerry Crispin: The Foundation of an Exceptional Candidate Experience...CANCELLED
...ignores shiny objects in favor of evidence you can count on.
The world of hiring is more candidate-centric than ever been before. They’ve got options. And coupled with rising bargaining power most major companies recognize a strong candidate experience is a compelling business necessity. According to TalentBoard's research over the last 7 years, 80% of how a candidate rates your treatment of them is based on just five practices. Build sensibly and and your ability to innovate and adjust will guarantee a competitive advantage.
Gerry Crispin describes himself as a life-long student of Staffing. An international speaker, author and acknowledged thought leader, he stays grounded by engaging with an extraordinary network of friends, colleagues and practitioners every day. His views on employment strategy, hiring processes, and staffing technology are sought by many of the world's most competitive corporations.
Gerry actively promotes the notion that Talent Acquisition is the ‘point’ of HR, that every stakeholder in the hiring process- especially candidates, must have their basic needs addressed and that for recruiters to be truly proud of who they are as professionals- they need a stand-alone professional association to have their back.
Gerry and his business partner, Chris Hoyt, facilitate peer-to-peer conversations about competitive practices with hundreds of TA leaders from some of the world’s largest and most innovative corporations. Today, the CareerXroads Colloquium is in its second decade as a member driven community of peers devoted to helping one another.
In 2010, Gerry also co-founded a non-profit, Talentboard, with colleagues Elaine Orler and Ed Newman to better define the Candidate Experience, a subject he has been passionate about for more than 30 years. In September 2016, the Association for Talent Acquisition Professionals was launched after several years of discussions with hundreds of practitioners, consultants and vendors.
Gerry co-authored eight books on the evolution of staffing and has written hundreds of articles and whitepapers on similar topics. His career in Human Resources spans more than 40 years and includes HR leadership positions at Johnson and Johnson; Associate Partner in a boutique Executive Search firm; Career Services Director at the University where he graduated with his BE and advanced degrees in Engineering and IO/Psychology.
One indicator that Gerry still sees himself as a student and keeps his perspective fresh is by traveling to countries throughout the world and interviewing government officials, employers, university professors and students about how work and hiring practices are evolving. He has led delegations of CHROs and TA Leaders to 10 countries including Japan (2017) and Cuba (2015) most recently (with Eastern Europe next in 2018).
6:00pm reception; 6:30pm lecture, gratis. Members and guests are invited to dine at The Club with Mr. Crispin following the lecture.
