Webinar - Watercolor Painting Introduction and Demonstration
Join Tim Savage (CALS '69) for a virtual teaching experience in watercolor painting and introduction to the exciting world of illustrated travel journaling. Follow Tim as he does a step- by-step demonstration of a simple watercoloring technique and uses it to illustrate a trip that he recently took to nearby Untermyer Gardens in Yonkers.
For those interested in painting along during the lesson, visit Tim's teaching website for materials list and more information on "how to do it".
Tim Savage graduated from Cornell's CALS in 1969. In June of that year Tim and his wife Barbara (HEC '67) joined the US Peace Corps and worked in rural Peru for the next three years.
Upon his return to the United States, Tim embarked on a career in advertising art direction, illustration and graphic design. He worked for a selection of advertising agencies and design shops. He currently offers design and web development services through timsavagedesign.com. He teaches art history and watercolor painting online through Great Neck Community Education.
Along the way Tim developed a passion for fine art painting. He is a published illustrator and award winning watercolorist. Tim is a member of the National Art League, Douglaston, and the Art League of Nassau County. He volunteers with the Ink Well Foundation, a group of illustrators who visit hospitals and offer drawing events for children.
