Young Alumni Beer Tasting Brunch
Demystifying the Craft Behind Local Brews
Did you know that the New York state brewing industry is hopping? New York boasts over 400 breweries, 19,000 related jobs, and the brewing industry contributes $5.4 billion to the state's economy.
Come meet our guest speaker, Kaylyn Kirkpatrick, who manages the Brewing Extension Program at Cornell Agritech. Kaylyn will demystify the science behind craft beer brewing and teach you the language of beer. Attendees will enjoy a guided tasting of five New York sourced beers and a buffet brunch.
You'll learn about the Cornell Craft Beverage Institute and Cornell's unique land-grant mission which allows growers and brewers to tap into Cornell's agricultural research and education programs to inform their farming and brewing practices.
