Harney & Sons Tea Tasting with Michael Harney ’77- Sold Out
Join Michael Harney ’77, Vice President of Harney & Sons Teas, for a tea tasting and afternoon tea. He will taste four teas with you and discuss the world of tea.
The Cornell Club is proud to carry Harney & Sons Teas.
Michael Harney graduated from the Cornell's School of Hotel Administration in 1977. His father, John, had graduated earlier and his sister much later on- so a real Cornell tradition! Michael went on to run a hotel for Chuck Feeney. In 1988 he joined his father at Harney & Sons Teas. Since then he has been the Tea Taster for Harney & Sons. In 2008, Penguin Press published his book "Harney & Sons Guide to Teas" which has become a classic. He has spoken at many events, including the Cornell Plantations (as it was called then). He took over this role when John Harney passed away in 2014. Michael continues to travel the world finding great tasting teas.
