Sutton Place is one of New York's most well-to-do areas and yet it evolved from very humble beginnings. Join us on a walking tour that emphasizes the evolution of the neighborhood from slaughterhouses and stables to the wealthiest district per capita in the city. We'll also explore the Treadwell Historic District, one of New York's smallest, and discover both areas' rich literary heritage. Stops include the river views of Sutton Square; the one-time homes of JD Salinger, Montgomery Clift, Ragtime author EL Doctorow, Tennessee Williams, Arthur Miller and Marilyn Monroe; and the mansions of the Vanderbilt, Morgan and Roosevelt families.

$30 per person.  Advance Registration required by Thursday, February 20th at which point all registrations are final sale.
