Join Club Members for an architectural walking tour in midtown Manhattan!  Skidmore Owings & Merrill was co-founded by Cornell alum Nathaniel Owings ('27) in 1936. Our evening walking tour focuses on some of the firm's most important early commissions in Manhattan, including buildings for Lever Brothers, the Manufacturer's Trust Company and Union Carbide (now headquarters of JP Morgan Chase), as well as notable projects by contemporaries.

The tour will be led by Matthew Postal, an architectural historian and licensed New York City tour guide based in Brooklyn.  Matthew teaches graduate classes on the history of New York City and its extraordinary 19th and 20th century architecture, as well as researches and writes reports for the Landmarks Preservation Commission.

$25 per person.  The tour will start at 6pm and the group will meet in the lobby of The Cornell Club-New York.  Advance reservations required by Tuesday, September 29th, at which time they are considered final sale.
