Inter Club Beer Tasting: New York City Beers at The Harvard Club
At The Harvard Club
The Harvard Club once again welcomes its members and fellow Inter Club members for the annual Summer Inter Club Beer Tasting. This year we will have with us Justin Kennedy, beer expert and the author of the Scratch and Sniff Guide to Beer – A Beer Lover’s Companion. Justin also has two beer podcasts weekly, Beer Sessions Radio and Steal This Beer. He has put together a tasting of beers made exclusively in the city. While New York City was not always known for its beer, now there are over 30 breweries across the five boroughs. Members will sample beers from six of these breweries, and representatives from the breweries will be on hand to answer questions. Accompanying the beers will be a menu of international dishes, reflecting the culinary influence of immigrants on New York City food. This menu, created especially for the event by Chef David Haviland will pair beautifully with our beer selections.
