Members and their guests are invited to enjoy this interactive workshop for Inter-Club seniors and their caretaker children which focuses on keeping well by eating well. Over a planet-friendly lunch, timed for Q&A, new modules in the series on staying healthy in older age will include "The Mediterranean Diet in the Northeast" and "The Coming Food Labels."
A healthy senior herself, Susan Sandler, M.S., R.D. has lived the Sandwich Generation; her work is cited in Who's Who in America, American Women, and American Dietitians. Having specialized in Geriatrics in Long-Term Care for over 15 years, she also has a sub-specialty in a neurological disorder that is an accelerated form of aging. She attended Cornell's College of Human Ecology, earned a Master's in Clinical Nutrition from NYU, and completed an internship at The Mount Sinai Medical Center.
12:00noon-1:30pm. $20 per person includes healthy "planet friendly" lunch. Advance reservations required by Friday, April 15th, at which time they are considered final sale.
