Harlem Walking Tour

Join us on a walk through one of America's most prominent African American neighborhoods. Some highlights on the tour include: the Apollo Theatre, a showcase for some of America's top talent such as James Brown and Ella Fitzgerald; old jazz spots like the Lenox Lounge and Dizzy Gillespie's home; the Mount Morris Park Historic District, with its magnificent examples of the Harlem brownstone; the site of the assassination attempt on Martin Luther King in the 1950s; The Hotel Theresa, home to the nation's top African American celebrities and where JFK discussed his Civil Rights policy; the site of Malcolm X's office; and Bill Clinton's office, where the president and candidate Barack Obama had their summit in 2008.

11:00am tour.  $25 per person.  The group will meet at the corner of 125^th Street and Lenox Avenue (you are welcome to meet at The Club and travel with the group from there).  Advance reservation required by Tuesday, April 26^th, at which time they are considered final sale.
