Family Event: STEAM Day at The Cornell Club

STEAM—Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math!

Come spend a fun and educational day at The Club with an afternoon filled with hands-on activities, crafts, demonstrations, and refreshments. We'll have three classes for elementary school children and fun events for the little ones too! Special thanks to our friends at MacInspires for hosting our breakout sessions!

3D Printing:
Session One: 12:30 to 1:15pm. This class is geared toward children in grade 2-3.

Session Two: 1:30-2:15pm. This class is geared toward children in grade 4-5.

Students learn the basics of 3D design and printing by applying math, science, art and technology skills in a fun way. Students start by creating a house, anything from their future home to lunar dwellings. Then, students work to master 3D printing and design skills by creating a product, toy or model. Exploring their creativity students produce anything from recreations of their favorite driod to a stand for their tablet, whatever their minds can come up with! This course offers a great introduction to get excited about the possibilities of 3D printing and technology!

Cubelets:
45 minute session from 12:30-1:15pm This class is geared toward children in grade K-1

Inspire a love of learning through play. Cubelets are robot blocks that make it fast and easy to engage young children in learning about STEAM. There's no wrong way to build with Cubelets, so it is remarkably easy to transform these blocks into brilliant bundles of robotic curiosity. Students learn by doing aspects of circuitry, magnetism, computer logic and more. This course offers a fun and intriguing way to have your child experience robotics and circuits by playing to learn!

12:00-2:00pm. $20 per child, parents and caregivers are gratis. When making a reservation online, please note your child's age and preferred breakout session.
