Enjoy an evening with Dr. Robert M. Gates, New York Times bestselling author of Duty, and now his latest book, A Passion for Leadership.  Dr. Gates successfully led change at three monumental organizations—the CIA, Texas A&M University, and the Department of Defense.  He will offer the ultimate insider’s look at how major bureaus, organizations, and companies can be transformed, in ways that are inspiring and always instructive.  Dr. Gates previously served as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency; he is the only career officer in CIA's history to rise from entry-level employee to Director.  Dr. Robert M. Gates also served as U.S. Secretary of Defense from December 2006 to July 2011.  Dr. Gates was the only Secretary of Defense in U.S. history to be asked to remain in that office by a newly elected President. He served as Secretary of Defense for a Republican and a Democrat President.

Secretary Gates joined the Central Intelligence Agency in 1966 and spent nearly 27 years as an intelligence professional. During that period, he spent nearly nine years at the National Security Council, The White House, serving four presidents of both political parties.  Time Magazine named Gates as one of the most influential people and U.S. News & World Report named him one of America’s Best Leaders.

6:30-7:00pm cash bar reception; 7:00pm lecture.  $29 per person, includes a signed copy of
A Passion for Leadership.  This will be a very timely and relevant event; early RSVPs are strongly suggested.  Advance reservations required by Friday, January 15th, at which time they are considered final sale.
