Join Club Members and New York City Cornellians for a morning walk in the park, followed by a delicious buffet brunch at The Club!  Take a tour of the southern portion of New York City’s Central Park led by Central Park Conservancy’s Vice President for Planning, Design, and Construction Christopher Nolan ’89, FASLA, and Associate Vice President for Planning Lane Addonizio ’95.  From the newly reconstructed Grand Army Plaza to Bethesda Terrace and Bow Bridge, join us in looking at the landscape architecture and planning work that has helped transform one of the world’s most important public spaces.

Christopher Nolan, FASLA, is the Vice President for Planning, Design, and Construction and chief landscape architect at the Central Park Conservancy. Since joining the Conservancy in 1989, he has overseen a program of projects valued at greater than $200 million that is internationally recognized as the most significant and extensive renewal of the Park since its creation more than 150 years ago.  Nolan earned his bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Cornell. He is a registered landscape architect in New York State and a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Lane Addonizio, Associate Vice President for Planning at the Central Park Conservancy, oversees research and analysis parkwide and project planning, and helps develop and manage the program of work for the Park’s ongoing restoration and reconstruction. Addonizio is a city planner and the author of the Report on the Public Use of Central Park, the most comprehensive study of the Park’s use in its more than 150-year history, which was published by the Conservancy in 2011.  Addonizio earned her master’s degree in urban planning from Cornell and her bachelor of arts in Visual and Environmental Studies from Harvard University.
