Bubbles and Pearls - Sparkling Wine and Caviar Tasting
Caviar paired with sparkling wine is an eternally chic culinary classic, but why are salt-cured fish eggs and bubbly such a perfect match? Find out why at our guided tasting of different species of caviar paired with a selection of sparkling wines, including Champagne and Cava. A caviar expert will join wine writer and presenter Wanda Mann for this special presentation of bubbles and pearls. The reception preceding the guided tasting will feature caviar-enhanced hors d'oeuvres prepared by the Cornell Club's Chef Joe Boko.
About Wanda Mann
Wanda is the East Coast Editor for The SOMM Journal and her writing has also been featured in Food & Wine, Travel & Leisure, and other publications. Wanda has been a presenter at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, the Women in Wine Leadership Symposium, the Charleston Wine + Food Festival, and the Nantucket Wine & Food Festival. Wanda is the immediate past president of Les Dames d'Escoffier New York, a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to women pursuing careers in food, wine & spirits, and hospitality. She also serves on the board of the Society of Wine Educators.
