Beyond Your Pitch: How to Introduce Yourself Simply and Effectively
As professionals, we are often challenged to articulate the value we provide. Simply keeping on top of what we say is hard and especially hard when we are not sure where exactly we are heading. Join coach Win Sheffield to learn how to talk about yourself and make a stronger impression without bragging.
Learn to develop a branding message, to keep what you want in front of audiences and to adapt your message to your audience. Also, develop a comfort level with asking about what you do not know.
Topics covered will include:
- Identify the messages you want to deliver
- Learn techniques to deliver your message with clarity and purpose
- Inspire confidence in your listener by conveying your value to them
In his coaching practice Win Sheffield reinforces how to execute an effective job campaign instead of an unnecessarily painful job search, wandering from ad to ad.
In addition to an M.B.A. from Boston University, an undergraduate degree from Kenyon College, Win is certified as a career coach through the Five O'Clock Club, and has studied Myers-Briggs and counseling. Since 2003 Win has been bringing his career in strategy development and implementation at Citibank, J.P. Morgan and PricewaterhouseCoopers and his own transitions to his work with clients.
Win’s podcasts and workshops span career topics from figuring out what’s next to salary negotiation, to sustaining morale. He has spoken and taught career courses at the New York Public Library, churches and industry and alumni groups in New York, Silicon Valley and London.
