Join Club Members and guests for a special evening of food, wine, and friends, hosted by Cristina Mariani-May of the world renowned Banfi wines. Banfi is a private concern, founded in New York in 1919 by John Mariani, Sr. and today owned and operated by his grandchildren, Cristina Mariani-May and her cousin James Mariani MBA ′91. Cristina Mariani-May is the youngest daughter of Banfi Chairman Emeritus, John F. Mariani, Jr. ′54 and serves as the family proprietor of the internationally renowned Castello Banfi vineyard estate in Montalcino, Tuscany, and co-CEO of Banfi Vintners, a leading U.S. importer of fine wines. Banfi Vintners is the sole U.S. importer of the Mariani family's internationally renowned wine estates in Italy: Castello Banfi of Montalcino, Tuscany, and Banfi Piemonte of Strevi, Piedmont. Banfi also imports the wines of several major producers from around the world and has ranked as North America's leading wine importer for more than three decades.
Their mission is to nurture Banfi's leadership position by offering wines of superior quality, and fostering the appreciation of wine through education, while maintaining family ownership, business ethics, and a culture of teamwork and pride in shared success.
