A Man and His Presidents: The Political Odyssey of William F. Buckley Jr.

William F. Buckley Jr. is widely regarded as the most influential American conservative writer, activist, and organizer in the postwar era. Buckley was the founder of the modern conservative movement and was one of the nation's best-known public intellectuals in the second half of the 20th century. Buckley spread his message across multiple platforms: print, radio and television, lectures and fiction. Through his quick wit and sharp debating style, Buckley became recognizable to millions. In A Man and His Presidents: The Political Odyssey of William F. Buckley, Alvin Felzenberg sheds light on little known aspects of Buckley's career.

Alvin S. Felzenberg was the principal spokesman for the 9/11 Commission and Director of Communications for the Joint Economic Committee of the United States Congress. He served in two presidential administrations, as an adviser to the U.S. Departments of State and Defense, and on the majority staff of the U.S. House of Representatives. He teaches at the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg School for Communication and is the author of The Leaders We Deserved (and a Few We Didn't). He holds a Ph.D. in politics from Princeton University. He lives in Washington, DC.
