THERE IS AN APP FOR THAT. THE CORNELL CLUB WELCOMES ALEX CONE
6:00 PM

Most people understand an "app" as a button on your Smartphone that perform specific task (i.e. finding the nearest FedEx store). But now big companies are starting to view apps as low-cost upgrades for a broad range of products. Apple’s iPhone now has well over 100,000 apps and 3 billion downloads! Beyond the smart phone, apps are already coming to your television and your car. In a few years, maybe your house will run apps or even run on apps!

Do you have a great idea for an app? What does it take to develop an app? This interactive session features two app developers, Alex Cone and Dr. Kevin Fountain. Mr. Cone has been working with Cocoa and codes that are at the heart of the app since 1991, has dozens of apps for sale through iTunes, and is currently writing a book, App Development for New iPhone Developers. Kevin Dr. Fountain, an international icon in trade with China, has designed and developed the app “Cook Chinese,” and is preparing a line of 10 cooking apps for the iPhone, Droid, Palm, and iPad.
